The dibac plugin for SketchUp is a sketchup plugin that allows you to use the program's native 3-D modeling tools in conjunction with Adobe Photoshop. This means users are able to create, edit, apply textures quickly and easily without having to leave the computer environment. dibac works by automatically loading the SketchUp models into your Photoshop document where they can be further manipulated. The process of loading models into your Photoshop is seamless and easy when you use ***********4D™ Dibac™ Compiler************ dibac is compatible with both Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows. It will work seamlessly on any version of Adobe Photoshop CS5 or later, including Creative Cloud version 5 or later. The dibac plugin was created by SketchUp, Inc. The name "dibac" is derived from the combining of the words "dib", which represents an acronym for Digital Image Based Architectural Construction, and "bac", which is an acronym for Building Applications with Component Architecture. This plugin was created to provide a means of interfacing 3-D models into Photoshop to enable image editing and architectural rendering capabilities. With the release of Photoshop CS5, Adobe introduced a new feature called "3D". With this feature, users were able to convert 2-D images into 3-D images and manipulate them using sketchup tools and ultimately output them as 2-D images. With the use of the dibac plugin, a user can edit a SketchUp model without ever leaving the 3-D environment. A user is able to take a SketchUp model and load it into Photoshop to apply textures, create shadows and/or reflections, and move the object around to achieve optimal lighting conditions. Textures can be applied as well as materials such as glass (transparent or clear) and metals (metal or gold). Once this is completed, you can export your image directly from Photoshop as a normal 2-D image. dibac includes the following tools, which are part of the SketchUp Pro Plugin:The dibac plugin also includes an option to apply materials and textures directly to your 3-D model. This is only available on Windows systems with the Sketchup pro version. In this software, you can create any surface texture from a single material sample, as well as make a non-destructive editable copy of any face or group of faces from one part or component. For those users who have access to the pro feature through their purchase, you can now use these functionalities in your Photoshop documents as well as rendering images to a .jpg file using a native silverlight plugin that is included with SP. dibac is currently compatible with the following operating systems:The native 3-D capabilities in SketchUp are being enhanced to allow users to easily export models for use in manufacturing, architecture, or engineering. The dibac plugin helps guide users through this process by providing them with tools that are specifically designed to automate the model extraction process. The dibac plugin was originally created by Tradequeen Ltd., a UK company that provides premium plug-ins for SketchUp Pro & SketchUp Pro LT. The plugin was rebranded when Adobe purchased Tradequeen in 2012. cfa1e77820
